GHS string orchestra showcase set for March 26

Grossmont High School will be the setting this Wednesday evening for the String Orchestra Showcase, an annual gathering for string players from all Grossmont Unified High Schools.

The event will take place from 6-8 p.m. at 1100 Murray Drive. General admission tickets are available at the door and cost $10.

This year’s event will feature more than 120 musicians on stage at Grossmont High School’s main stage theater.

Selections will vary from group to group but the all-district piece will be Celtic Butterfly, a traditional Celtic melody arranged by Julie Lyonn Lieberman.
