La Mesa to host Park Appreciation Day

The City of La Mesa invites community members to roll up their sleeves and join in for Park Appreciation Day on Saturday, Nov. 2, from 8 a.m. to noon.

This annual event is a chance for residents to come together and help enhance several local parks through various volunteer activities such as painting, mulching, weeding, planting, and trimming.

Parks needing volunteers:

• Collier Park – 4401 Palm Avenue
• Community Garden – 5080 Memorial Drive
• Harry Griffen Park – 9550 Milden Street
• Junior Seau Sports Complex – 9011 Park Plaza Drive
• La Mesita Park – 8855 Dallas Street
• MacArthur Park – 4975 Memorial Drive
• Vista La Mesa Park – 3955 King Street

This is an opportunity for families, groups, and individuals to come together to make a difference.
